One of my favourite places is Sydney, in my back garden on a beautiful Spring day. I love to sit on the grass and watch my children pull lemons off the tree. I can hear the birds chirping and the gentle hum of the city in the background, and breathe in the fresh air. To know the city is not too far away with all it has to offer, yet to sit in a small oasis and feel a thousand miles away. I love the juxtaposition of the urban and natural environment. My other favourite place is in a small square in Barcelona. In the centre of the concrete square is a brick tower where children run and play. The square is bordered by cafes, bistros and bars where people gather to eat, drink, and chat. I love the bustle of people going to and fro, stopping for a quick chat or to meet with friends. It is life itself in all its stages, one feels that births would be celebrated here, deaths commiserated, love found, broken hearts healed and the lonely are never alone.
