Arthur McElhone Reserve
Park Sydney Australia
What makes it great?:
It’s a fairly small and humble reserve on Onslow Avenue in Elizabeth Bay, just opposite historic Elizabeth Bay House, but for me it’s a sanctuary from the more bustling corners of Potts Point and Kings Cross. I live not too far from it, and like to take my lunch there on occasion. It’s great to soak in some of the most spectacular harbour views in Sydney. Weekdays is when I trek there most, otherwise you’ll likely find a wedding party taking over it on the weekend. The large orange carp that swim in the ponds are hypnotic to watch. What would make it better?:
Perhaps a few more trees for more shade on brighter summer days. Submitted By:
